This is what REALLY happened.
"Hi Judith, we have you scheduled for your surgery tomorrow at the Summa Surgery Center".
"That's 1 day from now"! said I.
"Yes it is".
"Fine then". said I.
Surgery center calls and tells me they would like to begin the application info over the phone.
Questions asked and answered. "And bring your drops with you". "I don't have any drops".
"No drops?", "no I don't have any drops"!
Hmmmm.
I next check messages on the phone and find a new message telling me that a prescription has been called in to Marc's pharmacy in Brunswick. Race to the pharmacy at 6:15 pm the night before the surgery.
"That will be $170.00 please". Silence. "Is that with my pharmacy discount"?
"Yes, m'am, it is".
Silence as I write a check.
Next a.m. I get ready to go to the surgery center (with Kevin driving me) and I take off my makeup.
I know you can't wear makeup to the surgery, but I haven't gone without makeup since I was 12.
Put on the dark glasses and don't make eye contact with anyone! Does this scarf wrapped around my face and neck remind anyone of Michael Jackson?
I did put makeup on yesterday morning before I left the house. I think I have not had mascara on since my idol Tammy Fay Baker (see photo above) came into the news. It's been a long time I know.
Trouble with the mascara....when you apply three drops to your eyeball four times a day, it makes the mascara run and smear.
Oh well, it was a short lived embarressment!
The surgery was worth it!

The best part of seeing Tammy Faye was when she cried and those Flubba-Dub eyelashes would run the mascara all the way down to her chin. Oh arggh.
So glad you're doing so well. You're beautiful with or without mascara.
