Disturbing newspaper story

Today's Medina Gazette had a front page story and photo of a Rottweiler/shepherd mix dog named "Penney". It seems the dog was at the home of the owner's boyfriend because the owner could not keep the dog in her own home or apt.

Anyway, no one was home when the boyfriends' father, age 71 came to the house to cut wood. He allegedly wanted to give the dog more water than the water already in her bowl/bucket in a cage. Dog jumped up at him and barked. Repeatedly. The man opened the cage to give the dog water and had a fence post in his hand. He struck the dog repeatedly over her body and "Upside" the head. The dog died.

How stupid can someone be? To beat something when you had no business being in that animal's space. An enclosed, contained space at that.

He is pleading "Not Guilty".

Good thing I'm not on the jury!

Me too. Death penalty would apply here.
